To celebrate our 25th anniversary, atsec gathered its five teams from around the globe in Bali to honor our past and set the stage for our future, with collaboration and cultural fusion being the keys to our success.
The event highlighted the diverse cultural strengths that shape atsec’s identity:
- From Germany, a focus on precision and meticulous execution;
- in the USA, fostering ambition and a “can-do” mindset;
- Sweden, mastering equality and balanced decision-making;
- China, maintaining perseverance and hard work;
- and in Italy, bringing passion and energy to all we do.
Our brand identity combines these five nations’ cultural strengths, enabling us to deliver truly international, customer-focused security services:

This fusion of global strengths allows atsec to understand diverse perspectives, navigate international regulations, and provide solutions that fit local needs, all while maintaining world-class quality. Our goal in bringing everyone together in one place was to host a conference that reaffirmed our four founding business principles: know the business, stay focused, be independent, and act with integrity; along with reaffirming our “three Cs”: Commitment, Contribution, and Care. The morning sessions that kicked off the conference featured inspiring talks and panels on our journey, today’s core pillars, and a broad range of industry topics ranging from Cryptography, Common Criteria, EUCC, and CCRA to PCI and automotive. A keynote address by atsec’s long-time legal counselor and friend offered a unique outsider’s perspective on our story, as he spoke about the deep, genuine care embedded in atsec’s culture, noting that it was an extraordinary act for the company’s founders to invite colleagues and their families to share in the success, rather than cashing out for themselves. Well-cared-for colleagues, he emphasized, naturally take good care of customers.
A standout moment from the panels was the discussion on automation and AI, which explored how these technologies can enhance efficiency, accuracy, and security. While we are eager to embrace the potential of AI, we remain fully aware of the challenges it brings, particularly the need to operate within an isolated, in-house environment to ensure the security of the sensitive information we handle. As a security-centric organization, our commitment is unwavering: regardless of the tools or technologies we adopt, protecting our customers’ data will always be our top priority.
Before the lunch break, the team from China gave a heartfelt performance of the song Tomorrow Will Be Better. The chorus – “Sing with your passion, extend your hands, let me embrace your dreams, let our smiles be filled with the pride of youth, and offer sincere prayers for tomorrow” – resonated deeply with all of our staff, as everyone is excited about our bright future ahead. The harmonious voices of our Chinese team elevated the celebration to an emotional and unforgettable high point.
In the afternoon, energized by our Chinese colleague’s performance, workshops brought together expertise from across the company in system administration, business development, HR, quality management, lab/project management, and technology. Each group shared their insights in the closing session, ensuring the knowledge gained in Bali will strengthen all branches.
As we look back on our time in Bali, one of the most memorable highlights came from off the conference floor, and outside the building entirely: a friendly soccer match between atsec Italy and atsec China. The game was more than just a sport — it was a vivid metaphor for our drive to learn from each other, build bonds, and foster friendships to smooth the path for future collaboration. The match was filled with skill, teamwork, and good-natured rivalry. The whole company celebrated together, no matter which side scored; in the end, atsec won!
Our 25th anniversary was not just a celebration, it was a commitment to the next 25 years: closer global collaboration, bold innovation, and the responsible adoption of AI to keep atsec at the forefront of information security.
