Nationz cryptographic algorithms implementations achieve CAVP Certification
2010-08-13Beijing, China – We are pleased that our customer Nationz Technologies Inc. has achieved the CAVP Certification for its algorithm implementations. Apostol Vassilev, CST Lab Manager for atsec, confirms that Nationz Technologies Inc. algorithm implementations on multiple platforms (Z8D16, Z8H128D16CR, Z8L48D16C, Z32D576, Z32D576C, and Z32H256) have been officially verified and certified by the Cryptographic Algorithm Validation Program (CAVP) at NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) in the U.S.
The Cryptographic Algorithm Validation Program (CAVP) encompasses validation testing for FIPS approved and NIST recommended cryptographic algorithms. Cryptographic algorithm validation is a prerequisite for FIPS 140-2 validations under the Cryptographic Module Validation Program (CMVP). The CAVP was established by NIST in July 1995. All of the tests under the CAVP are handled by third-party laboratories that are accredited as Cryptographic and Security Testing (CST) Laboratories by the National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP).
