But like any six year old, atsec has an emerging and maturing personality. I observe the development of a deep professionalism.

More than this, I sense a commitment from the people not only to atsec, but much more rarely, to the security industry as a whole. A concern for the growth and maturation of the profession at every level, from "bits and bytes" to the pride in helping society discover and develop the tools necessary to meet the demands of the Technology and Internet revolution.

Apart from the technological breadth of skills atsec has developed, I value the global emphasis from my colleagues that comes from the innate recognition that security is a truly global challenge. Recognize, then, that atsec is not really an International company, rather we are a trans-national company.

We are all indebted to atsec's founders, to Sal, Helmut and Staffan for the vision, teamwork, tenacity and professionalism to make it happen, and for the unfaltering ability to stick firmly to atsec's principles as we grow and become a major force in the world of security.
