In October 2007, security experts from atsec information security and a delegation of ten experts from the China Information Security Certification Center (ISCCC) and other related organizations met at atsec's office in Munich, Germany. Participants discussed topics of interest in the information security field in a comfortable and friendly atmosphere.

During the Munich meeting, atsec’s representatives presented atsec’s business model and persistent principles in information security consulting, and discussed the global development of the atsec brand. The atsec experts also shared information about building atsec’s successful management system consulting and product evaluation businesses. Both parties discussed technical topics in information security evaluation and certification in Germany and other CCRA (Common Criteria Recognition Arrangement) countries. atsec co-founder Staffan Persson, atsec Germany lab director Gerald Krummeck and atsec China manager Yan Liu discussed these technical topics with the visiting Chinese experts. Zhuohui Liu, the vice director of Certification and Accreditation Administration of P. R. China, and Xiaohua Chen, the vice director of China Information Security Certification Center, introduced the current situation and development of information security certification in China. Both the atsec and ISCCC experts have many years of experience in information security, and they found many technical topics of interest to discuss.

Staffan Persson, Managing Director of atsec Germany and atsec Sweden, said: ”We are very pleased to have had the Chinese delegation with us, sharing their experience with information security evaluations. We will continue to follow future information security development in China, especially because the Chinese government has mandated the use of information security standards to evaluate the security functionality and assurance measures applied to certain products.”

The meeting followed closely on the recent successful 8th International Common Criteria Conference (ICCC) in Rome, in which both the atsec and ISCCC teams participated.
