Beijing, China – atsec information security participated in the recent 2008 CNCERT/CC conference in Shenzhen, China. The theme of the event was to “improve network security and assist the Beijing Olympics”. Hundreds of conference-goers from the government, research academy, telecom industry, financial, and IT vendor sectors attended the event.
Larry Yang Liu, PCI QSA and senior atsec consultant, spoke at the E-business and financial forum on the topic “Protection of payment card data security by PCI DSS compliance.” Increasing credit card use in China has brought with it increased concerns among financial security experts about payment card data protection. The PCI DSS is an efficient way to improve protection in this area.
Larry notes: “The conference was a great opportunity for atsec to share our knowledge and experience in security assessments and consulting. Our focus here was on improving payment security in China, and we were glad for the opportunity to share our methodology and experience with other security experts.”
PCI data security requirements are more important now than ever, since the 2008 Beijing Olympic will bring an increased volume of international credit card transactions. atsec’s expertise in IT security and qualification as a PCI QSA also extends to a range of PCI-related service offerings, including services related to PCI ASV, PA-DSS, PED, penetration testing, and incident response.
