atsec completed the Common Criteria Evaluation at EAL3+ of SUSE Linux.
Today atsec set a major milestone with the Common Criteria Security Evaluation at the Assurance Level 3+ (EAL3+) and the compliance with the US government defined Controlled Access Protection Profile of SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 8 (SLES 8) on all IBM eServer platforms (xSeries, iSeries, pSeries and zSeries plus the eServer 335 based on the AMD Opteron processor). This is the first evaluation of Linux at this high level of assurance. This announcement comes less than six months after atsec successfully took SUSE SLES 8 through the EAL2+ evaluation.
